"Active Kill Disk is THE perfect hard drive security utility for your needs."
This software is amazing. So many times I've had to recycle hard disks so they may be used like new again or had to remove viruses that couldn't be tracked down, after spending hours searching for the right removal tool. It has all of the functionality listed in their specs and performs incredibly well. With the professional version, one may select from 17 different algorithm options used to erase their hard drive. The freeware version overwrites existing data using only ones and zeros but both versions allow you to destroy all data on hard disks, USB drives and floppy disks completely, without any possibility of data recovery of deleted files and folders. It's simple, user friendly windows interface allows you to remove and overwrite files in unallocated space directly from Windows that may have been already deleted without risking damage to the operating environment. The DOS utility completely overwrites the hard drive making it perform in a "like new" condition for anyone who may be wanting to sell their computer and remove the OS beforehand. As a hard drive and partition eraser utility, this is the one you want to use.
- Convenient user friendly interface and the program's ability to permanently erase viruses on the hard drive.
